Whole-home renovations, with a programme you can follow

Bigger projects need more than a good builder. They need someone planning months ahead, tracking the budget and making sure decisions are made before they hold up the site.

Whole-home and multi-room renovations are where the cost of poor coordination adds up fastest. A villa re-pile, a new open-plan living area, two bathrooms and a re-roof can involve twenty or more trades, a building consent with several inspections, and hundreds of product decisions.

Refiner breaks the project into stages with clear decision points. You know which selections are needed by when, what each stage costs, and what's happening on site each week.

Questions

How long does a whole-home renovation take?

Typically 3 to 9 months on site, depending on scope and consent. Design and consenting can add 2 to 4 months before work starts. We give you a staged programme so you can see what happens when.

Should we move out?

For full-house projects, usually for at least part of the job. Without power, water or a kitchen for weeks, living on site slows the trades down and adds cost. We plan the stages so the time out is as short as possible.

Do you work with architects and designers?

Yes. We can bring in a designer or architectural designer from our network, or work with the one you already have. We act as your representative so the design gets built as drawn.
