Bathroom renovations in Auckland, done in the right order
Bathrooms fail at the parts you can't see. We manage the waterproofing, plumbing and ventilation as carefully as the tiles you chose.
A bathroom is a small room with a lot of risk packed into it. Water gets behind tiles, extraction fans vent into the ceiling, and a shower tray set at the wrong fall leaves a puddle for the next twenty years. These problems usually start with a rushed sequence.
Refiner schedules each trade so the work underneath is checked before it's covered. The membrane is applied by a certified installer and photographed before tiling. Plumbing is pressure-tested before linings go on. You get the records at the end.

Questions
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
Most bathrooms take 3 to 5 weeks on site, plus a few weeks beforehand for design, pricing and ordering. Curing time for waterproofing and tiling is built into the schedule, not rushed.
Do I need consent to renovate a bathroom?
Replacing fixtures in the same positions often doesn't need consent. Adding a bathroom, moving the toilet or making structural changes usually does. We check your plans against the rules and apply where needed.
Who does the waterproofing?
A certified applicator for the membrane system being used, so the warranty stands. We photograph the membrane before it's tiled over and keep the records for you.
What paperwork do I get at the end?
Plumbing and electrical certificates, waterproofing records, product warranties and, for consented work, the Code Compliance Certificate. It all goes into one handover file.
