Staging means walking into a house a week before it goes on the market and making it look its best. Over the years that's meant working alongside painters, builders, flooring layers, electricians and landscapers on short deadlines, and seeing the difference between renovations that were well run and ones that weren't.

The well-run ones had something in common. Someone was in charge of the whole job. They knew the order things had to happen in, they held the trades to it, and they told the homeowner what was going on.

Refiner exists to be that person for your renovation.

What we believe

• You should see where your money goes. Every trade price is shown, and our fee is quoted separately.
• Sequence matters more than speed. A job done in the right order finishes sooner than one rushed in the wrong order.
• Problems should be found before they're covered up. We check work at the stages where it matters.
• Good trades deserve good planning. We give them clear scopes, realistic programmes and prompt decisions.

Our trades

We work with a network of Auckland tradespeople we've built up over many years of staging and renovation work. Restricted building work is done by Licensed Building Practitioners, and plumbing, gas and electrical work by registered tradespeople who provide compliance certificates.
