Renovating to sell: the work buyers actually notice
Not every dollar spent before a sale comes back. We focus on the jobs that change how a home photographs and feels at an open home.
Refiner was started by people who have staged Auckland homes for sale since 2016. We've walked through thousands of properties the week before photos and seen which fixes make a difference and which are wasted money.
A pre-sale renovation is usually about speed and judgement. We plan the work backwards from your photo and open-home dates, keep the scope tight, and hand the house over ready for staging.

Questions
Is it worth renovating before selling?
Targeted work usually is. Paint, flooring, lighting and fixing obvious defects tend to pay back. A full new kitchen right before sale often doesn't. We'll tell you which jobs buyers in your area will notice.
How quickly can you get a house ready for market?
A paint, flooring and repairs refresh can often be done in 2 to 4 weeks, depending on trade availability and the size of the house.
Can you coordinate with staging and my agent?
Yes. Refiner was started by the team behind an Auckland home staging company, so working back from photo day and open homes is how we plan these jobs.
